Franklin Graham: Brett Kavanaugh's Sexual Assault
I was simply scrolling through Facebook and realized it was flooded with articles screaming about Rev. Franklin Graham speaking on Brett Kavanaugh. I have only been keeping up on the case at surface level, but when I see a "Man of God" in the media speak on something as evil as rape, I know it cannot be good. No one ever sees good things said on the news.
Daily Kos reported, "Franklin Graham: Attempted rape not a crime. Kavanaugh 'respected' his victim by not finishing." I sat in disgust. I followed up with a fact check to see if he stated those exact words. But, according to Snopes , in a CBN News interview he only spoke on the fact that without evidence there is no crime, and that Kavanaugh respected Ford's objections. The Daily Kos article did, however, reference his interview with CBN News, in which Graham stated,
Graham continues in the interview,
The country will soon see Kavanaugh's fate. The Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on his nomination this coming week.

"It's just a shame that a person like Judge Kavanaugh who has a stellar record--that somebody can bring something up that he did as a teenager close to 40 years ago. That's not relevant."What Graham does not understand is that Kavanaugh is not owning his actions. He is denying this story. He is denying Christine Blasey Ford. This country does not need a man in the justice system who denies a woman justice.
Graham continues in the interview,
"Well there wasn't a crime that was committed. These are two teenagers and it's obvious that she said no and he respected it and walked away--if that's the case but he says he didn't do it. "There was a crime that was committed, nonconsensual sex acts. However, he talks as if it did happen, then backs up Kavanaugh's denial. It does not make sense to make an excuse for something that "did not happen."
