Separation of Church and State
It's 11:00pm and I am just sitting here writing. At this point, my mind is just vomitting through this pen. I have been annotatng Ecclesiates and soaking in the idea of a reality without God in my life. Without God's love, grace and mercy - everything is meaningless. a chasing after the wind. This idea made me think.
Christians of all kinds, and non-Christians, whether of different faiths or no faith at all, have different views on things. Whether we argue about science and creationism being taught in schools, or having an idea of how the Big Bang could be linked to Genesis, we all think differently. Everyone has different opinions, sense of thought, definition of logic, beliefs of the supernatual and depth of spirituality. Every person is different, and although we tend to come together with others who think similarly to us, we are all our own person.
As a Christian, I am not here to tell anyone that they are wrong. I am here to express my beliefs and listen to every voice no matter what they believe. I am here to love those whether they are similar to me or differ from me. And most importantly, I am here to trust in God.
I find myself frustrated so much I tend to tear up. I am frustrated by Christians who tear others down for not having the exact same beliefs they have. I am frustrated by the fact that there are Christians telling other Christians that they are wrong, or that they are not good enough. It disturbs me that there is this much hatred and division within my faith. We all interpret scripture differently, or only use scripture when it comes to our advantage.
We cannot divide each other if God created us to be united. We destroy any form of unity.
Religion is used as a tool in politics, and especially American politics. Politics overall is an extreme division amongst people. So, I would like to enlighten whoever is reading this during our very vulnerable, sensitive and broken political environment with James 1:27 --
This verse does not say, look after only Christian orphans and Christian widows -- absolutely not. God loves all. We just have to show people who God is through how we treat each other. We have to look after eachother with love, grace and mercy because that is exactly what God does for us.

27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
